QtpfsGui 1.8.10 released

Qtpfsgui 1.8.10 was released today and I built new rpms. Now Tonemapping an HDR should not anymore result in an crash (due to a bug in Qt 4.2.1 which is used by Suse 10.2).

The new version should hit all mirrors within 24 hours.

I am currently building updated fail2ban packages due to a possible remote denial-of-service.

Users are encouraged installing either the updated packages or patching the file itself by applying an patch to /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/sshd.conf. The patch and an analysis can be found on ossec.net.

Removed...

Due to a (soon to happen) change of laws here in Germany, I had to remove one package from my repository

They have changed §202 StGB so that it is considered illegal now to manufacture, code, give away, spread or try to get software which can be considered as usefull on cracking or hacking machines/passwords/...

There is still a chance that this law will be revoked, but we'll have to wait at least until june.

As I cannot tell, if ophCrack will be used by someone this way, I choose to remove it before someone tries to sue me for this

If you are searching for it, maybe they are still on some mirror I have no control off, who knows?

If you want to build it yourself (or even take over building the package and publishing it in a country where it is still allowed) you can download the last spec for building (2.3.4) from here: ophcrack.spec

I really hate having to do this...

Today I packaged some new versions for my repository:

MTPaint 3.11 (from 3.10)
Fail2Ban 0.8.0 (from 0.7.8 )
BloGTK 1.1 (new yesterday)
bwmon 1.3 (new)
QtpfsGUI 1.8.7 (from 1.8.3)

Slowly I'll begin to abandon 10.0 and only build newer software for 10.1 and 10.2, some (like QtpfsGUI) only for 10.2.

Upload is done right now, expect all mirrors to catch up within 12 hours.

This night I packaged a new piece of software, so if you are in photographie and always wanted to try out some HDR-Imaging, take a look at Qtpfsgui, now available for openSUSE 10.2 at the usual places.

Repository Updates

Today I restructured my repository to make zypper/yast work. You should be able to use any of my mirrors as yum source within the next 24 hours.

Additionally there are two new versions, I built fail2ban 0.7.8 and rpmorphan 0.8 today.

All the changes should be on the mirrors within the next 12 - 24 hours.
